Robert G. Roloff
January 19, 1942 — March 29, 2026
I’m sorry to announce to our membership that former Parkview Board Member Bob Roloff has died. Bob was instrumental for many years in running the basketball end of the league. I met with him at his assisted living residence several months ago and had a nice visit with him. He sure enjoyed talking about the league and how great it was.
He had been on the board of Parkview nearly since the league’s inception, with a couple of years away while he was coaching his own children and then when he began having health issues.
He had a keen attention to detail. The schedules he put together were done by hand. The results and standings were also done by hand, then typed in Word format using tabs to align the columns. For doing all of this manually, the level of accuracy he maintained was phenomenal. He was an exceptional man.
