Week Four Results and Standings
Week Three Standings and Results
A note in regards to the fact that we are using the regular size ball for 6th grade boys:
Week Two SchedulesAt our September basketball meeting – I mentioned that I would check to see what size ball was being used for 6th grade boys by the other leagues in our area – especially, Notre Dame / Don Bosco. Tom Collopy came back to me saying that they were using the big ball. So, in order to stay consistent with them – PPL and WACC – we decided to do the same. This way – when our teams are playing in tournaments within and outside the Parkview – they will not be at a disadvantage when playing the non-PPL/WACC teams.
Attached is the schedule for this week.
Important adjustments, scores and standings for Week One
Notes following week one.
To help shorten the length of games a bit – we decided to reduce the number of time outs awarded each team from five to four during regulation time – two full time outs and two 30-second time outs.
In discussions with WACC administrators in regards to technical fouls – we decided to award 2 points to the opponent across the board when a technical foul is called. We felt that it might be too confusing if we had a different rule for upper versus lower divisions. This rule is in effect this year on a trial basis.
